Spark T-shirt Design Competition
Spark T-shirt Design Competition
Theme: ‘The Art of Necessity’
How does art reflect, transcend, adapt to and spring from economic restrictions?
Spark International Festival of Media, Arts and Design 2009 will offer a riotous oasis of creativity amidst an uncertain financial climate. As creative practitioners, all the Spark guests will have unique and often ingenious ways of facing the artistic challenges and opportunities that can arise from a recession.
Therefore, the 2009 Spark t-shirt design competition asks entrants to showcase their own ideas and illustrations on ‘the art of necessity’. Note: entries do not need to be literal or obvious interpretations of this theme; rather, it offers a starting point for brainstorming and developing a design.
The winning design will feature on the official Spark festival t-shirt, so should also be reflective of or complementary to Spark as a whole.
See the 'Spark T-Shirt Competition' PDF below for more details on entering the competition. Entries should be emailed to spark@wintec.ac.nz no later than 5pm, Monday the 3rd July.
