3D Animation Tutor

New Zealand’s leading School of 3D Animation, Lifeway College, is looking for quality lecturers for its cutting edge Diploma in Advanced 3D Animation. Our Level 7 Diploma qualification is the highest level of training available in New Zealand.

Our Animation School is looking for talented 3D artists with relevant industry experience. We would prefer applicants with extensive experience in a generalist role, or in a multitude of specializations. Skills and knowledge in at least one area such as character animation, modelling, lighting, texturing, rigging etc is neccesary.

It is important to have a good knowledge of the 3D Animation pipeline, as our students graduate industry-ready having learned the entire 3D production pipeline first-hand, from concept to final project. 

Lead artists would be preferred. We have a strong record of over 80% graduate placement into the industry, therefore we will encourage your ongoing involvement in associations, networks and industry events. 

As a lecturer you will need good communication skills, confidence, leadership skills and be able to relate well to others. We have a family-friendly environment, with a Government-approved early childhood centre on site. 

Previous experience in teaching would be beneficial but not required. We are strongly supportive of staff and their ongoing professional development.
