Designer
12-month position in premium magazine environment
• At least 2 years magazine design experience
• Strong production focus

NZ House & Garden is the country’s leading home title. It prides itself on quality journalism and photography, excellent design and high production standards. We are looking for a talented intermediate designer to join our editorial team.
The successful candidate will have a flair for design, an eye for good photography and independent work habits. You’ll be responsible for layout of features, including following your pages through to prepress stage, under the direction of the art director and creative director.
A working knowledge of Indesign and some skills in Illustrator and Photoshop are essential, and some knowledge of prepress processes is desirable. Most important, you will have a can-do attitude, and the motivation to be a supportive member of a busy team dedicated to creating a truly excellent magazine.
Fairfax Magazines publish award-winning titles including NZ House and Garden, Cuisine, TV Guide and NZ Gardener.
