Intermediate / Senior Web Developer

Gravitate Limited is an innovative Web Design and Development company based in central Auckland. We provide custom built web solutions for a wide range of industries from the arts sector right through to automotive, health, office and engineering products. We pride ourselves on being able to balance excellent design, technical innovation and software development.

Our business is expanding quickly, with lots of exciting projects on the go and we need to expand our technical development team urgently. We are looking for an experienced Intermediate/Senior Developer with a passion for web development.

Please note we are looking for a senior web developer, not a web designer!

Require Technical Skills & Experience
The successful applicant will have:

• A tertiary qualification in Computer Science or a related discipline
• 3 or more years industry experience
• Strong skills and experience using PHP, MySQL, HTML, OOP, Javascript, CSS
• Efficient and Comprehensive Unit Testing Skills
• Unix, Linux, Apache knowledge and experience preferred
• Understanding of Drupal, Joomla and other open source technologies would be useful

As a Intermediate/Senior Developer you will work closely with our Technical Director to assist the technical team to provide tailored, innovative websites and web applications for our clients. As this is a Senior role we require someone who:

• Is experienced with client and workflow management
• Has the ability to assist with team direction
• Has a vigorous intellect
• Has a can-do attitude
• Has a sound verbal and written English, and a presentable appearance.
