Rigging Lead

Weta Productions, creators of children's animated shows 'Jane and the Dragon' and 'The Wot Wots' is expanding and we're looking for a talented Rigging Lead to join the team.
Although the creation and production of 3D animated children's television will remain the primary focus, we are developing the facility to take on all aspects of CG and VFX work for television and smaller budget feature films.
As Rigging Lead you will be required to develop and oversee a character rigging work-flow and pipeline including cloth and hair/fur systems to suit television animation and visual effects requirements. You will also work closely with the VFX supervisor and other leads to ensure a smooth and consistent pipeline throughout the facility.
You must be proficient in Maya's character rigging tool set and display a high level of innovative thinking and problem solving skills. You will also be expected to carry out rigging work on a specific project or projects.
Ideally you will have a degree or diploma in Digital Design and relevant industry experience, preferably in television production. You need to enjoy working as part of a close knit team and possess excellent communication skills.
