Come and join a small team in the National Digital Library of the National Library of New Zealand in Wellington, who are making digitising for some of our most important and cherished heritage items for New Zealanders and the rest of the world.

This role will give you the opportunity to contribute to the popular Papers Past website as a member of the newspaper digitisation programme team, with responsibilities that include tracing bibliographic data, assessing quality of microfilms, tracking couriers, working with suppliers, storing data, and analysing reports. You will contribute to other digitisation activities like the Appendices to the Journal of the House of Representatives and map digitisation initiatives.

You will have a Bachelor of Arts or experience with research, as well as a sound knowledge of computers and computer systems. You will be organised, have an acute eye for detail, computer savvy and enjoy working in a team, as well as being able to work confidently independently. An interest in digital imaging and microfilm will be an advantage, but can be learned on the job.
