Video Editor

The Learning Connexion is a tertiary level school of Art and Creativity based in the Hutt Valley, Wellington.

We currently have a fulltime vacancy for an Editor in our Audio Visual Team. We are looking for someone to edit the educational videos, documentaries and promotional material that our in-house team create. You must have good all-round video production skills, so experience with HD video cameras, basic photography skills, simple lighting set-ups and audio recording is required. Someone with graphic design, motion graphic or DVD authoring skills would also be desirable.  

The role also requires a multi-tasking and team focussed individual who doesn’t mind pitching in with a broad range of video projects as well as helping out our staff and students. Conversely, you will also have set projects to work on independently, so the ability to work self-directed is essential.  

Our AV team work on Macs and so we would prefer someone with experience using Final Cut Studio, although we will consider candidates with editing experience on other platforms if necessary. You’ll also need to know your way around Adobe Photoshop and have good file management skills to be successful in this role.

The position will suit someone with an interest in art and creativity, and also in documentary. We are happy to take on someone early career as long as they can show enthusiasm to learn, creative flair, and are up for the challenge.
