WOMAD Aotearoa/NZ is presented by the Taranaki Arts Festival Trust. The festival is an annual event presented every March. Hundreds of performers from all over the globe deliver cultural sensations over 3-days (30-hours) over seven stages. You can also enjoy films, cooking demonstrations, workshops and conversations with the artists. Even the young ones are catered for with a creative programme especially for those under 12 years. WOMAD was started by Peter Gabriel 23 years ago. It now occurs in multiple countries and WOMAD NZ is unique amongst the WOMAD festival family.
