Casual Events Hosts
As an Events Host you will ensure Te Papa continues to provide the highest standards of service excellence and a safe and secure environment for our collections, visitors and staff.
The visitor event programme delivery is reliant on a combination of Event Producers and Casual Events hosts. Events can vary in size and complexity therefore it is essential that you have the ability to respond to the needs of customers with courtesy, warmth and a genuine desire to give a quality service. You will listen well and communicate clearly and be able to make quick, calm decisions using sound judgment. Self-motivation, flexibility, independence and previous customer service experience are essential. The events team will give you training in the various roles that an Events Host delivers.
You must be able to demonstrate a commitment to working in a bicultural environment and be able to work weekends and public holidays as required.
