TAFT is seeking (based in New Plymouth, New Zealand) a new artistic director to oversee and implement the artistic vision and delivery of this vision for TAFT.
TAFT is a charitable trust who has been in operation since 1991. The trust undertakes four festival/events and manages one performing arts venue www.taft.co.nz.
TAFT presents an arts festival – bi-annually and annually a garden festival, WOMAD and Sounds Aotearoa.
We are looking for
- an artistic director with experience in programming in the performing arts and who has excellent networks in the industry both nationally and internationally.
- the demonstrated ability to work as part of a small team delivering world class events and festivals on tight budgets
- a proven track record of increasing patronage of those events that have been previously programmed, hence demonstrating an understanding of the customer base in which these are delivered
- a track record of successful partnership management
