Job description:

The New Zealand International Arts Festival is looking for an energetic Media Communications Assistant to work closely with the Media Communications Adviser to ensure a strong communications strategy for the 2012 Festival.

Key Competencies:

Relevant tertiary qualifications - at least two years’ experience in a media communications role
Proven experience in dealing with the media in pressurised environments
Expertise in copywriting, editing and desktop publishing to tight deadlines
Experience in social media is essential
Experience in an arts/festival environment is preferable

This is a six-month full-time position, starting 19 September 2011. Due to the nature of the Festival, a flexible approach to working hours is required.
