Auckland International Cultural Festival 2010 is underway and it looks like an exciting year is ahead of us. The festival celebrates cultural diversity within our city strengthen communities and inspire all that attend this wonderful event. As per previous Auckland International Cultural Festival’s, it is anticipated thousands of people will enjoy non-stop entertainment, over 150  food and crafts stalls, along with the Youth and Performing Arts Arena, a community stage, Main international stage and so much more!

 

Stages

We are looking for performance groups and individuals interested in performing on one of the following.  

 

  • The main stage will show case established acts and celebrate both traditional and present day cultures.
  • We also want groups for the community stage that would be interested in engaging with the audience and encourage participation.  
  • The Youth arena is specific for emerging artists to use as a platform that supports forthcoming talent.

We are interested to see and meet you and propose two workshop days.

 

  • Saturday 14 November 10am - 2pm, Wesley Community Centre, 740 Sandringham Rd extn, Mount Roskill.
  • Saturday 12 December 9am – 12noon, Wesley Community Centre, 740 Sandringham Rd extn, Mount Roskill.

 

If you are interested in being involved, or know of others interested in being involved, please coontact the festival director and request an expression of interest form. This will enable us to make plans and invite you to meet the team at the proposed workshops.

 

The cut-off date to register your interest is 30 October 2009.
