Arts Project Coordinator
The Splore Music and Arts Festival returns on the 19-21 February 2010 at Tapapakanga Regional Park, a stunning coastal park 70km south east of Auckland.
Splore is renowned for its multi-disciplinary programme that includes a number of arts projects that integrate into the Splore environment and become an integral aspect of the Splore experience.
We are looking for a dynamic, talented and multi-disciplined person with strong arts competencies and networks to the professional and community arts sector to join their team as the Arts Project Coordinator
Key Responsibilities
- To facilitate a number of interactive, site specific arts projects that work within the festival environment of Splore 2010
- To liaise with and invite established and emerging artists, designers, film and prop makers, audio visual artists, arts students, performance artists etc to consider and conceive art projects that work within the Splore environment and with the Splore audience.
- To develop a brief that communicates the type of arts projects that we would like to incorporate into the visual arts programme.
- To work within allocated budget and timeframes
- Together with Festival Director appoint a visual arts technician/coordinator and structure that position as the key point of contact for resources, information and production issues relating to pre production, installation, during event and post event.
- To liaise with Festival Director around programme development and work with Splore admin support team.
The role is part time over a 6 month period commencing in Sept with the last 2 weeks leading into and post the festival full time.
