Community Max - 4 Positions Available
4. Community Max positions currently available at MIC Toi Rerehiko. MIC and Galatos have four positions to fill under the Work and Income NZ Community Max scheme. These will be offered to 16 - 24 year olds interested in interdisciplinary art practice, film, video and community and who are currently enrolled with Work and Income NZ. Our programme will assist communities with the creation of mini documentaries known as digital stories, help set up a tape library for the public to access research materials, help to facilitate community live presentations and performances and assist with video documentation of interdisciplinary arts events. Community groups include amongst others: senior citizens, disabled and their peer support networks, Rainbow Youth, Pacific Island groups and emerging contemporary music (niche groups such as young musicians). Generically these four positions will suit creative, articulate and highly motivated individuals with an interest and skill base in any of the following: film, video, music, sound recording, editing, storytelling, community empowerment, marketing, design (print and web-based), set design/construction/painting and live performance.
