Snr Lecturer/Assoc Professor - Directing

The Department of Performing and Screen Arts offers professionally focused education and training through its industry recognised diploma, degree and graduate diploma programmes in the discipline fields of: Directing and Writing for Screen; Film & TV production; Live Performance & Technologies; Acting for Screen and Theatre; Contemporary Dance and Choreography; and Music.
We now have a full-time vacancy for a Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor to provide an effective academic and leadership contribution to the Department in Directing for Screen. As well as teaching you will be actively involved in research and curriculum design and development.
Applicants must have:
- A Masters degree or higher
- Demonstrated expertise and innovation in teaching and assessment, curriculum development and programme leadership
- Demonstrated recognition and reputation as a practitioner in Directing for Screen
- A demonstrated discipline based practice contribution (currency, service to profession/industry/community, institutional and /or external awards)
The successful applicant will be offered appointment either at the level of Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor in accordance with Unitec’s specific criteria for each of these senior academic appointments.
