Sound designer for Short Film 'Red'
'Red' is a short film about an 8-year-old boy struggling to connect with the world around him.
This short film, made as a Masters for the University of Auckland, is currently in post production. It is near picture lock and will be shortly taken to online for grading and FX.
Shot on the RED camera by DP Timothy Flower and Directed by Nicola Castle, the short film is a magical and surreal interpretation of a simple story. It is for this reason that the sound needs to be elevated.
We require a sound designer who is familiar with film narrative, experienced on sound editing software such as Protools (though we have access to facilities so you don't need to have your own), and someone who can collaborate with and build on the director's vision.
This position is unpaid, though should not take more than a few days. Experience preferred but I'm interested to hear from anyone who is passionate about sound design. Good opportunity for a show reel.
