Short film name: Rock Paper Scissors
Description: three characters in an animated short film are in need for two middle-aged voice actors and one middle-aged voice actress (or people who sound middle-aged)... these characters are representatives of their own kinds (the Rocks, the Papers & The Scissors populations)... so they HAVE to sound mature & middle aged, reflecting experience & wisdom...
Synopsis: Upon Paper’s request for a truce among their kinds, Rock, Paper and Scissors meet on neutral grounds. In a world of talking objects and conflicting viewpoints lies a story of farcical contemplation on political talks and violent intolerance.
Genre: Animated, stop motion, computer-2D, collage
Length: 8 minutes (10 page script)
Characters:
- ROCK (male): hippie, surfer, stoner... American accent, deep gravelly voice
- PAPER (male): upper class, intellectual, eloquent... English accent
- SCISSORS (female): middle class, sharp-tongued, uptight... French accent, deep sultry (or husky) voice
you must provide an audio file or a link to it... the script will ideally be workshopped with each actor alone (once), all actors together (once), then recorded with the actors miked in three separate rooms (At The Depot studio in Devonport - Auckland)

Mardo El Noorthe 34 year old German-born, Jordanian-raised Kiwi is a graphic artist, filmmaker & musician. His first animated short film 'In The Name of Art' was screened at 20 film festivals in four continents including SITGES Film Festival (the biggest fantasy film festival in the world).
He was signed by EMI (Dubai) in 2000, & have released four music albums since then. He attended School of Art and Design at AUT, receiving a first class with honours MA degree in 2008.
