Job description:

I am seeking a DOP / Camera Operator for a "no" budget production. The position requires proficiency in lighting and camera operation. The shoot dates are 25th April to 16th May. We will be doing 6-7 day weeks. The fee will be $2200. This fee can be negotiated if he or she is able to provide equipment. Meals will be provided. We will be shooting predominantly in Auckland central.

The film will be shot on a Sony PMW-EX1 HD camera. There is a small budget for lighting. We will need to maximise available light sources. The narrative style of the film falls into the category of “art-house.” However, the editing and cinematography is to follow conventional narrative protocols. This project will suit someone interested in gaining experience as well as some unconventional, stylised work for his or her show reel.

Must be enthusiastic, motivated and have high standards. I am also interested in hearing from any persons interested in assisting on this film - even if only for a day. Unfortunately, the assists will be unpaid. However, it will be a great opportunity to gain experience.
