Auditions for Web Series

The show is about a farm boy who moves up to Auckland to pursue his dream of becoming a dentist. However he moves into a flat with 4 other people with some rather intense social conditions. The series is about their day to day lives and the chaos that eventuates.

This call is for auditions for the following characters. Currently the first audition times are on Sunday the 28th of March. But we are able to do auditions any time if you email Adam.ac.King@gmail.com

HAMISH

• Nervous and paranoid
• Loveable loser
• Kind, smart
• Gets into unfortunate situations
• Works as a dental nurse with a goal of becoming a dentist, so likes Grace for her nice teeth
• Plays video games with Mack & uses his farm upbringing to advise Mack about how to maximise drug crop growth
• Comes from a small town in NZ so naïve to big city ways

GRACE

• Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (not too intense) – clean freak, neat freak
• Always trying to help others out (a peace maker)
• Model for infomercials for cleaning products

MACK

• ADHD/masochistic
• Smartarse, always using quick one liners, sarcastic
• Grows drugs & sees himself as an entrepreneur
• At uni doing his honours in management – uses management lingo

SADIE

• Bipolar/Sadist
• Is only happy when inflicting pain
• Unemployed but always trying to find a job (currently focused on acupuncture, although she is terrible at it)
• Only weakness is puppies and likes gardening

CLIP

• Hoarder/kleptomaniac
• Works at the Salvation Army – therapy to learn to give things and not take them (although he does steal things from there, too)
• Stealing for the purpose of assembling something

MR HOWARD/ MR HOWARD 2.0

• Mr Howard is the elderly neighbour of the flatmates. He is an angry man that is constantly annoyed by any small noise from next door.
• When Mr. Howard is befallen by a terrible tradgedy a funny drunk homeless man is found to take over Mr Howards life... but he seems to do a terrible job at it.
