Help Wanted - Screenplay Research
UPDATED: 9 October 2011
Please note, this is a request for information and not a job position.
Seeking some help in more information regarding the history of classic Austin/Morris/BLMC/et al. Minis in New Zealand between 1960 and 1980. Especially interested in the relationship that past and present Mini owners have had with their beloved Minis, good or bad. Am also interested in the history of the assembly of Minis in New Zealand through the various factories that existed in New Zealand (especially Nelson).
Some points of interest to get the ball rolling:
~ Dates for Mini assembly in Nelson from 1979 to early 1980.
~ Photographs of Minis in production in New Zealand.
~ Facts about rural Dominion Motors dealerships in 1960.
~ Photographs of the Mini launch in NZ in February 1960.
~ Photographs of Ruapuna Raceway (not Speedway) in October 1967.
~ Stories about good or bad incidents involving Minis.
~ Photographs of Minis in action from 1960s to 1980s.
~ Or possible contacts for any of the above information.
Any help will be thankfully acknowledged by the person's or organisation's name only, unless specifically requested not to do so. Anonymous sources will only be considered if the information provided can be verified from at least one other reliable source.
Any contact details, facts, figures, names, and sources of information, will be kept in the strictest of confidence. Where actual dates, events, people and/or place names are referred to in the screenplay, these are only to provide factual support to scenes in this fictional story, where no offence is intended.
To put things into perspective, I have previously owned four Minis (3 classic and 1 Clubman), just not all at the same time.
Contact by e-mail is preferable.
Thank you in advance for any help provided.
Cheers
MIKE
