Great Acting Opportunity

Organisation/person name:
The New Zealand Film and Television School
Work type:
Casual
Work classification:
Acting
Job description:

'The Flat' is one of three graduation films being made by the professionally taught students of the New Zealand Film and Television School.

This is a great opportunity for any actors wanting roles that will give you experience (not to mention something to add to your portfolio) and which won't take up too much of your time.

We shoot on 16mm film so we can't afford to make mistakes, which adds to the whole realism of it.

Filming is taking place over a five day period in mid May. Some of the roles wouldn't require you to be there for the full five days.

It is unpaid but you will be fed and looked after on set.
You will receive a copy of the film and of coarse will attend the big screening afterwards and hopefully boost your profile. A lot of people from the industry attend, so you never know what may happen!

The Characters are:

Max, late 30's- Immigrant from Gerrnany. Hasn't been in the country long. Film centers around Max, as the flat mates figure out a way to keep him in the country. Kissing scene.

Sam, mid 20's, has an unsettled relationship with female lead, Nikki. He is a student and sleeps around a bit, due to him thinking he isn't good enough for Nikki. Kissing scene.

Ben, Maori or Pacific Island. A complete ladies man. Has no shame and loves to party. There is a bit of nudity.

Nikki, mid 20's, a strong independent woman. Beautiful yet has bit of a foul mouth

Carlos, mid 20's, argentinean, friendly, funny, and open minded with a worldly, free spirit.

Sophia, mid 20's, from a wealthy family. Has high self respect and is always well groomed.

Marie, mid 20's, is the flat "mother" and looks after everything and everyone.

John, mid 20's, is bit of a nerd and is a quiet, private person.

EXTRAS: We are also in need for extras for the big party scene at the end.
