Casting Call: 5 Minute High Definition Short Film

Actor required for leading role in AUT Digital Design student short film.  This is a great mutual portfolio building opportunity for up and coming actors.  

‘Wakefield’ (working title) is a horror film mixed with comedic elements.  Shooting will primarily take place in CBD, Auckland in entirely High Definition and produced to broadcast standard.  As this is a strictly low-budget film, I’m afraid we can’t offer any payment for your services.  However, if you’re interested to be part of an enthusiastic team and receive possible Green Screen experience, then get in touch! ‘Wakefield’ is principally a minimal-dialogue film. Casting will take place from 20th to 30th April, with a provisional shooting date of May 4th.

‘Wakefield’ tells the story of a young man’s unfortunate paranormal experiences after moving in to a city apartment, however not everything turns out to be what it seems.

ABOUT US: We are a team of third year students from Bachelor of Digital Design, Auckland University of Technology.  We have previous shooting experience and Green Screen capabilities.

We’d love this to be a paying film – but we are funding this entirely out of our own pockets.

On this basis then, we can offer a copy of the completed film. Food and drink will be provided on the shoot.

PLEASE NOTE: As there will be a lot of night scenes in the film, applicants must be comfortable with night shooting sessions.
