Job description:

Award-winning NHNZ Ltd, Australasia's premiere producer of factual programmes for the international market, has an immediate vacancy for an Assistant Editor.

As well as using quality standard definition pathways, NHNZ is the South Island's only HD capable post production house. Last year almost all of the company’s production slate was in HD for clients that included Discovery Channel, National Geographic, NHK and AETN.

The person that we’re looking for will possess a good level of technical expertise, as well as the usual prerequisites of attention to detail, efficiency and the ability to work under pressure. Avid, Final Cut Pro experience is a must, and general knowledge of Unity XSAN and HD formats are a plus. You must be detail orientated, have strong organisational and trouble shooting skills, be able to multi-task, work independently and have a good understanding of priorities and deadlines.

Duties include media management, digitizing, syncing stringouts, outputs, FTP uploads, prepping for online (OMF’s, sequences, uprezzing, etc), importing stills/graphics, and outputting to tape, into both HD and SD formats.
