NHNZ is a world leader in factual television. We make up to 60 hours of innovative programming every year for global broadcasters like National Geographic, Animal Planet and Discovery. Our programes explore the world of nature, science, history, adventure, and people. We have an immediate vacancy for a Freelance Animator. 
 
The role requires the Animator to be available for a television documentary in production from April to early June 2010, for a major international customer. The documentary requires a significant amount of 3D animation & VFX work.
 
The person that we’re looking for will possess a good level of expertise in this area, as well as the usual prerequisites of attention to detail, efficiency, the ability to work under pressure, strong customer focus & great communication skills.
 
You must have:
 
  • Excellent 3D modeling skills
  • A penchant for architectural rendering & visualisation
  • Experience with 3DSmax or Maya 3D software
  • Experience in composting with Adobe After Effects.
 
As you would be part of a small team, you need to be prepared to jump in and help as required. This is a fast turnaround show, so time management and organisational skills are essential.
