Short Films Submissions @ Khuja Lounge
Have you made a short film of great quality & you want to share it with the world on a big screen?
Khuja Lounge (Auckland) presents Khuja Short Films Night (KSFN), showcasing a selection of short films. All genres accepted, with priority to accessible & high quality works.
The screening is to be followed by live laidback music, giving the chance for filmmakers & audience to mingle & discuss the movies.
The audience will also get to vote for their favourite film via e-mail. The winner will be announced in the following KSFN, & receive our coveted Havana Club Filmmaker of The Month Trophy & a $100 bar tab at Khuja. The grand winner (best short film of the year) will receive a free function and a $500 bar tab at Khuja.
The screening night is Tue 17/8/10, with more details to be announced on our website (www.khuja.co.nz).
The selected filmmakers will be notified by email. Please send your film on a DVD (ready to watch on a DVD player) to the address below for selection process, stating clearly name of applicant, email, phone number, genre, duration (prferably less than 10 minutes), & a short synopsis. The short film also needs to be available on digital format should we choose the movie for screening. We will not be able to send your DVD back. You can submit more than one film, on a separate DVD or the same as long as it can be accessed through a DVD menu.
All audio & video content has to be cleared copyright-wise. Obscene content, animal cruelty, or home-made Jackass style movies are not accepted!

- Mardo El Noor
the 34 year old German-born, Jordanian-raised Kiwi is a graphic artist, filmmaker & musician. His first animated short film 'In The Name of Art' was screened at 20 film festivals in four continents including SITGES Film Festival (the biggest fantasy film festival in the world).
He was signed by EMI (Dubai) in 2000, & have released four music albums since then. He attended School of Art and Design at AUT, receiving a first class with honours MA degree in 2008.
