First AD Wanted for Short Film Shoot.

Organisation/person name:
And But So Films
Work type:
Temporary: Full-Time
Work classification:
Film & TV
Job description:

And But So Films are looking for a First Assistant Director for a short film (working title Hopetoun) to be shot from the 19th - 22nd of August.

This is unfortunately an unpaid opportunity - everyone on set is working for free - but you will be very well fed and watered, and there are some very talented professionals involved. Special Problems' Amber Easby is producing, Blur and Sharpen's Tim Flower is the Director of Photography, and Dimmer/SJD's James Duncan is the Sound Designer.

Could well suit a Second or Third AD who is looking to climb the ranks, and would like the credit.

Hopetoun is a story about two brothers living under a cloud of hysteria in Auckland City. Clendon is pathologically terrified of getting bird flu. Mill is blind. Through some nefarious meddling by Mill's girlfriend, the two end up trapped in the apartment with a bird, and chaos ensues.

This is a story about hysteria and obsession and ultimately about family, and the festival strategy for the film is already being plotted.
