Dumpster Divers Wanted for Doco
I am looking for someone who is willing to be followed by a camera while dumpster diving, to discuss why they do it, what food they find. To show how they use the food they take eg: cooking it etc. It would also be great if I could create an atmosphere of conversation among the "divers" friends to find out how they would feel about eating food from a dumpster, perhaps using a dinner party made from "dumpster food" as away to create an environment for this discussion.
If you are already a dumpster diver that is fantastic I want to hear from you!
If you want to become a dumpster diver to take part in this social experiment then please also email me to discuss further!
I want to use dumpster diving as a way of highlighting the issues of food waste and to explore if this waste is caused by a law that supermarkets must adhear to or if it is caused by consumers being too "fussy" about what they will eat. And if anything can be done to reduce the shocking amount food wasted in New Zealand every year.
If you feel that you have a story to tell that may fit into the scope of this documentary please feel free to contact me to discuss.
It is preferable that you are located in the Auckland area however each person (and their story) will be considered on its individual merits so feel free to contact me if you live outside this area.
Be willing to openly discuss your way of living and point of view etc. To allow us to follow and film you dumpster diving etc. Filming will be over 4 days during listed dates.
Please email Vanessa if you are interested in participating.
