A rare opportunity has arisen in our Wellington newsroom for a Digital Editor following an internal promotion.

This is a key role in our multi-media newsroom and only applicants with a proven record in news should apply. We want someone with drive and ideas to help us strengthen our brand across online and print.

You are passionate about breaking news and can roll your sleeves up and write snaps for our website, where required. You'll also be commissioning and co-ordinating copy and experience of shooting and editing video would be a plus.

With senior editorial staff you will set the strategic direction of our website and associated digital products and be responsible for the day to day maintenance of our site. You will work closely with our news, features, business and sports departments to ensure the Dominion Post print edition is complemented on digital platforms and drive traffic to dompost.co.nz. You will also work closely with the Fairfax digital team.

We are located in the heart of Wellington’s CBD and offer competitive conditions, which include superannuation and medical schemes, and regular training. Relocation expenses are available.
