Vocal Tutor

Excel School of Performing Arts is a Christian based, tertiary performing arts school which offers one-year full time courses in contemporary music, dance and drama. Based in Auckland, Excel is NZQA accredited and contracts specialist tutors to teach the students.

The music students audition as a major in either vocals, guitar, bass, keys or drums. Vocal majors each get two one-on-one 45 minute lessons each week for the duration of the 30 week course. This position is to be one of the team of vocal tutors at the school who provide tuition for these one-on-one classes.

There is a course outline provided and tutor will be required to teach various techniques including diaphragm breathing, resonance, performance, vowel production, posture, confidence, feel and connection with words.
