The School of Music, within the Centre for Fine Arts, Music & Theatre, invites applications for the position of Senior Lecturer in Violin. With support from the University’s senior management, the School of Music is poised to develop new facilities, with plans to become Canterbury’s National Conservatorium of Music. This position offers an opportunity to join the School at this exciting time, working with other performance staff.
The successful applicant will have an established international performance profile and proven experience in teaching violin to students at all tertiary levels. This role requires the ability to perform solo and chamber music for the University, within New Zealand and preferably internationally.
Applicants must possess a postgraduate degree or equivalent qualification in a subject relevant to violin performance.
