For New Zealand Music Month 2010, CHART in association with CPIT and Kala Ukulele’s are on the hunt for Christchurch’s best Ukulele Orchestra and an attempt at Christchurch's largest combined uke orchestra ever!

In 2010 CHARTFEST invites Christchurch's primary, intermediate and secondary school ukulele orchestra's  to choose and rehearse an iconic New Zealand song then perform it on the James Hay in the afternoon of Friday 28 May 2010.

The winning school group will be announced on the day followed by a Christchurch record attempt of the largest ever combined ukulele orchestra performance of 'Why Does Love Do This To Me' written by Kiwi legend Jordan Luck of The Exponents. The competition will be followed by an attempt to get the South Island's largest ever combined ukulele orchestra!

So prepare and practice your 2 songs and get ready to win one of three ukulele prize packs from Kala Ukulele’s!
