Job description: 

The New Zealand School of Music seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Contemporary Music and Culture, commencing in February 2011. The field of expertise required is open and may be grounded in creative, critical, performative, theoretical, technological, or historical areas. 

The appointee will have a PhD or DMA, teaching experience at university level, and evidence of the ability to maintain an international profile in research and/or creative practice. Applicants should have a wide-ranging perspective on music and musical culture from the 20th-21st centuries and will be expected to teach and conduct research in some aspect of contemporary musical life.
