THE EDGE is Auckland’s leading performing arts and convention centre, hosting around 1500 performances and conventions each year in our venues which includes the Aotea Centre, Auckland Town Hall, The Civic Theatre and Aotea Square.From the hit musical Priscilla: Queen of the Desert to the Silver Scroll Awards, King Lear by the Royal Shakespeare Company to Carmen by the Royal NZ Ballet, Semi-Permanent conference to Marilyn Manson - THE EDGE Production Department works behind the scenes to make all our events happen. We are currently looking for Casual Technicians with skills in the following areas:

  • Lighting
  • Staging
  • Sound and AV

As we operate 24 hours, seven days a week we offer various working hours and shifts with work allocated depending on your availability. The more you are free to work, the more work we can give you and the work is guaranteed to be diverse and challenging. We will consider technicians of all levels including:

  1. School leavers’/inexperienced technicians.
  2. Technicians with some practical experience in the events and performing arts areas. (THE EDGE provides ongoing training and development where necessary.)
  3. Experienced Technicians. (THE EDGE offers great opportunities to showcase and utilise your skills).
