Bassist for Alternative Rock band
Must have good understanding of musical theory, a good ear and a high degree of technical playing ability. Capacity to hold a tune is not vital but desirable. The successful candidate will understand the fiscal and time-consuming realities of playing originals music. They will also understand what 'fiscal' means.
We've got an album nearly recorded and a distribution deal in the pipeline, some pretty lofty goals and the confidence/delusional tendencies to believe we can achieve them. As the successful candidate you will: 1) be forward and confident expressing your ideas, but not overly-sensitive if they aren't embraced. 2) energetic on-stage. 3) have a good sense of humor and ability to give as good as you get. 4) be an extremely good bassist with a deep love of alt rock music. 5) know interesting and practical things - like how to chill a warm beer within a minute.
Most importantly, you will make us sound better and you'll be able to commit a good chunk of time to help turn this band from talented young upstarts into successful musicians.
