OBJECTive Art Awards 2011
Kia Tupu, Kia Hua, Kia Puawai. To Grow, To Prosper, To Sustain.
Now in their fifth year, the OBJECTive Art Awards 2011 are inviting emerging and established artists and designers to submit new works of object art. The awards offer prize money of $9500 for object art entries.
From the handmade to the highly designed, works in ceramic, glass, jewellery, wood, metalwork and textiles are welcomed. Entries should demonstrate this year’s whakatauaki (proverb) as above.
Works selected for exhibition by the judging panel will be displayed at Mangere Arts Centre - Nga Tohu o Uenuku. The OBJECTive exhibition will also be featured as part of the 2011 Southside Arts Festival.
