ART (Arts Regional Trust | Te Taumata toi-a- Iwi) is calling for Expressions of Interest from creative entrepreneurs who are keen to be awarded one of up to five places available in the ART Generator programme.

Close date: noon, Friday 14 August 2009

ART Generator is a unique network that is being established to provide specialised services to a group of selected entrepreneurs working in Auckland's creative sector. Membership of the network centres around the creative entrepreneurs who completed the 2007 and 2008 ART Venture and ART Source programmes and a diverse range of specialists keen to assist them.

Up to five places will be awarded to five creative entrepreneurs who are keen to learn from and engage with the creative entrepreneurs who have already benefited from ART's unique business development programmes.

ART Generator will provide a creative and stimulating environment for peer-to-peer coaching & mentoring, specialist sessions with business advisers and focused attention on specific opportunities, issues and challenges as introduced by participants. The programme will commence on Saturday, 29 August and run for twelve months.

To work out whether this opportunity is right for you, please use the following questions as a guide before sending your Expression of Interest (and there are more details about that, below).

Is this opportunity right for you?

  • Do you have a professional track record as a successful creative entrepreneur in the Auckland region of five years or more?

If you have answered no, then you are not eligible to join the ART Generator network.

If you have answered yes, please continue:

  • Are you a creative entrepreneur according to this description:

  • Are you working on business ideas or plans that have the potential to contribute to Auckland region’s cultural and economic development?
  • Do you have identified gaps and needs to address in order to successfully deliver your business idea or plan?
  • Are you prepared to make the time to actively engage on a weekly basis with other members of the network,  to share with them your experience, dilemmas, goals and strategies and to help other members of the network to meet their goals and needs?
  • Are you available to attend six weekly networking sessions to held on a Saturday 9.30am - 4.00pm?

Before proceeding to lodge an Expression of Interest, you must have answered Yes to all five questions.

Your Expression of Interest

Please send a one-page resume and a short paragraph of no more than 200 words describing why you would like to be awarded a place in the ART Generator network to: Elisabeth Vaneveld, elisabeth.vaneveld@tbi.co.nz by noon, Friday 14 August.
