Manager Content and Interpretation (Ref: 014)

Auckland War Memorial Museum is seeking to appoint an experienced Manager for a full time (40 hours per week), two year fixed term contract.

 

Department: Capital Projects

Term: Fixed Term, starting from1/10/2009 to 30/09/2011

Closing date: 11/09/2009

 

Key Responsibilities
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Capital Projects and Programming team. Reporting directly to the Capital Projects, Project Director, key responsibilities for this role are:

• To lead the content and interpretive media development of the Museum’s overall public programme over a three to five year planning horizon.

• To create the overall public programme of temporary events and exhibitions.

• Management of Exhibition Developers, Exhibition Writers and Event Developer.

 

Qualifications
The successful applicant must have:

• A degree in a related field or equivalent •

Experience in developing highly engaging cross disciplinary exhibitions

• Proven experience to direct creative teams to deliver high quality services and results.
