EVENTS COORDINATOR
Public Affairs Unit

Want to be part of a team, that is charged with developing and attracting a range of events to the city to ensure Christchurch is a vibrant, place to live, work and visit. A rare opportunity is available to help administer and co-ordinate Council’s support for the many events that take place in Christchurch.

The Events Development Team process over 1000 events per year, taking place on their parks, streets and venues, as well as many film shoots and promotional activities.  We are looking for a proven administrator, keen to work in a dynamic environment with the Council’s Events Development Team to make it easy for event mangers to host their events in Christchurch.. 

You’ll be the first point of call for all event enquiries administrating approvals to event managers for various Council processes to ensure their event can happen, and deliver this support in a co-ordinated and customer focused way. 

You’ll be a superb communicator (especially via phone),  able to deal with a changing landscape and days which are never the same as the last – always with style and always with a smile.

Additional recruitment information:
Salary: $42,199 to $49,646 per annum plus 5% superannuation
Hours of work:  Permanent, Full-Time position
