Heritage Gardener – Howick Historical Village
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced gardener with an interest in historical gardens to maintain the grounds at the Howick Historical Village.
This position requires a fit and motivated person with the ability to work with volunteers, communicate with the public and with a willingness to multi-task within the Village to assist other staff. This is a costumed role, and suitable Victorian garb will be supplied.
This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week on a flexible basis to meet the requirements of the position. The village is open 7 days a week.

- Howick Historical Village
Howick Historical Village is an open air museum with 30 heritage buildings furnished with decor and displays highlighting the fencible period of 1840-1880. Costumed villagers are present on Live Days (every third Sunday of the month) and engage in Victorian crafts and pastimes.
Museum staff care for the artefacts which have been donated by the community and range from fabulous Victorian clothing, to military campaign desks with a focus on authentic domestic items. An archive, library and art collection can be researched by appointment. www.fencible.org.nz
