Film & Television Tutor (Paper-Media Culture)
Media Culture TUTOR introduces students to theoretical, philosophical, ethical and critical issues that exist and challenge the film and television industries. The development of the film and television industry in Aotearoa/New Zealand is also reviewed to contextualise students experiences and learning in this course.
Examines and develops understandings of different forms and media genres currently used by the film and television industry internationally; contextualises and evaluates a diverse range of international and national media works; reviews theoretical, philosophical and ethical issues; examines the development of the film and television industry in Aotearoa/New Zealand and internationally; and examines the role and functions of the professional critic in the film and television industry.
A theory paper that is audio visually captivating for making learning enjoyable, interactive and pushing boundaries for greater learning.
Applicant "must have" good understanding of the film and television industry while also being exposed to other different forms and media genres. Past teaching experience is favourable.
This is a permamnet but part time job (1-2 days a week).
