An opportunity has arisen within our Business Services team in Wellington:
Finance Manager
As Finance Manager you will report to the Business Services Manager and be responsible for the finance and accounting methods, practices and procedures of the organisation. You will prepare appropriate financial assessments, accounting records and other information, allowing the Finance and Audit Committee and Senior Management to make informed business decisions.
To be successful in this role you will ideally be a member of NZICA’s Chartered Accountants College, and have staff management experience. You will be personable and approachable, equally comfortable communicating with your financial and non-financial colleagues.
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing, reviewing and analysing operating results
- Maintaining a regular review of income and expenditure
- Liaising with the organisation’s external auditors
- Managing the organisations payroll function
- Directing and controlling general accounting functions
- Preparing schedules for financial reporting and ensuring activities comply with relevant Acts, legal demands and professional and ethical standards.
