Recreation Wellington
Recreation Wellington is responsible for the provision of outstanding sport and recreation support, programmes, partnerships and facilities that contribute to the wellbeing of Wellington City’s communities.
The vital new Area Manager roles will be responsible for building strong relationships and successful partnerships with all necessary stakeholders in the city to ensure that Wellington City Council meets the sporting and recreation needs of the wider city’s communities and maintain a reputation for excellence.
We have the following opportunities on offer:
- Recreation Manager Southern & Eastern Area
- Recreation Manager Central and Western Area
- Recreation Manager Northern Area
These roles will be critical members of the Recreation Wellington Business Unit Leadership Team.
To succeed you will need to be a clear communicator and have excellent interpersonal skills that will enable you to strategically develop strong partnerships and relationships with the community, customers, staff, and stakeholders in the allocated area of the city.
Staff and financial management, customer service, marketing and promotion, negotiation and facilitation, decision making, problem solving and innovative thinking are skills and capabilities you will confidently be able to bring to the role.
Extensive experience in the recreation industry with a minimum of 5 years plus in a leadership or management role is a requirement.
