Navy Museum, Torpedo Bay, Devonport
The Navy Museum’s mission is to capture and preserve New Zealand’s naval culture and heritage for current and future generations through collection, preservation, presentation, education, research and scholarship.
We seek a Team Leader Guide for a six month fixed term appointment (covering parental leave) to provide welcoming and informative visitor experiences for our new museum at Torpedo Bay.
In this role you will meet, greet and interact with visitors and ensure all visitors have a safe and positive museum experience. You will coordinate and implement guided tours and the museum’s visitor programmes. You will lead a team of guides to deliver efficient and vibrant museum guiding services. You will join a highly motivated and creative public programmes team as we present our new museum to our varied audiences.
This position will suit an excellent communicator with proven customer service experience in the tourism or museum sector.

Salary range: $36k - $45k + superannuation + benefits.
