Our Marketing and Communications directorate has recently undergone its own transformation and we're looking for talented people to join us.

Based in our Mt Albert campus and reporting to the Executive Director Marketing and Communications, the Director Planning and Market Insight will lead the development of marketing planning for the directorate utilising a range of economic, market and institutional data, insight and analysis.

Working closely with the newly created directorate leadership team as well the senior leadership team you will actively promote the importance of planning and market insight into the development of future academic programmes, market positioning and engagement with industry as well as providing a deeper understanding of our key stakeholders throughout the customer journey and student lifecycle.

You'll be a strong networker and negotiator with the ability to influence strategically at a senior level.

We're looking for an exceptional marketer and someone who has:

  • Ten years plus experience in marketing planning/strategy and/or market insight research management
  • Demonstrated leadership/ownership of significant and successful projects incuding new product development, pre-post analysis, qualitative tracking study and brand development
  • Successfully led and motivated diverse teams 
  • Experience in leading effective change in complex organisations
  • Experience in both qualitative and quantative research projects, primary and secondary and syndicated research
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Experience in management of market research agencies or third party suppliers
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Developed, controlled and managed budgets
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
