Gallery Assistant
Working approx 25 hours per week - the focus of this position is to assist the Gallery Manager in the efficient co-ordination of a successful programme of exhibitions and activities at the Papakura Art Gallery.
Key responsibilities for this position
- the installation and display of artworks and items of cultural and historical importance
- the provision of outstanding customer services at the Papakura Art Gallery
- updating content on website
Your practical skills will be used to the full extent and you will identify ways to present exhibitions. You will also be working with artists and curators so good communication and listening skills are a must as is your computing experience.
If you have a background in the Arts then this may be the role for you.
This role is fixed term till 31 October 2010.
