Performance Workshop Volunteer
StarJam is a not-for-profit organisation offering performance opportunities to young people with disabilities. We are on the hunt for a compassionate, reliable person to register their interest in being the StarJam volunteer for one of our singing workshops, the ‘Velvet Vocals’.

We need a volunteer for the ‘Velvet Vocals’ singing workshop
StarJam runs performing arts workshops for young people with disabilities in singing, dance, guitar and drumming that each require a dedicated volunteer to help supervise and support the young people involved. The ‘Velvet Vocals’ volunteer is responsible for:
- Opening and securing the venue
- Encouraging StarJam culture and values in the workshop
- Ensuring the safety of the participants
- Providing regular workshop feedback to StarJam staff
- Taking part in occasional StarJam celebrations and meetings
- Generally having a fun time with the kids.
This workshop is held on Thursday nights during the school terms from 6.30pm to 8pm, at the Mt Albert Senior Citizens Hall, Cnr New North Road & Wairere Avenue, Mt Albert. This position is best suited to someone who can commit to regular involvement.
