Job description: 

We are looking for people to work on a casual basis as the face of Te Papa.

We have vacancies for:

  • Te Papa Hosts (Reference: TP1232)
  • Discovery Centre Hosts (Reference: TP1233)

We are looking for people who:

  • have good people and presentation skills;
  • can take instruction but equally be able to take the initiative as needed;
  • are well presented (uniform is provided but must have own black trousers/skirt);
  • in addition to normal working hours are also available to work weekends, evenings and/or functions

For our Te Papa Hosts you must have at least one year's customer service experience and the ability to speak to groups of people. Basic Te Reo Māori pronunciation is desirable. Please see the Job description for more details.

For our Discovery Centre Hosts you will also need to have an interest in, and work experience with, children. Creativity and story telling skills are a must. Please see the Job description for more details.
