 Mint Urban Apparel are an enthusiastic and talented group of young people living in the Wesley / Mt Roskill area. Auckland City Council is seeking to employ an arts marketing specialist to work with the Mint crew to create a promotions and marketing strategy. 

 We are looking for someone who

-          has knowledge of the Wesley community

-          has skills in creative marketing, advertising, media, communications and/or promotions

-          understands the importance of a professional working alongside Mint to implement their vision

-          is enthusiastic about streetwear and street culture

-         is enthusiastic about working with young people from diverse communities

 

You will work with the members of Mint to

-          explore concepts of image for the group and how to market their image

-          develop a creative campaign to promote this youth- initiated creative small business

-          design promotional material and make connections with media

-          put together sales pitches for retail stores

-          develop a creative marketing strategy

 The young people involved in Mint work well as a team. Each group member has an assigned role, some focus on establishing their small business and some focus on creating new designs and an emerging arts practice. Your role is to offer advice and support through attending Mint meetings, being a role model, and highlighting opportunities for the young people within Mint.
