Call for Proposals
For the 2nd year running OUSA is organising its now annual Art Week which runs from August 16th-20th 2010. We are now calling for artist proposals for the several Art Events:
The Installation Project
The Mural
The Art Week (Community Participation) Hub
THE INSTALLATION PROJECT
The idea is to get contemporary art into different spaces on Campus. To surprise and delight students in the dead of their wintry study.
THE (ART WEEK COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION) HUB
In its first year as an Art Week happening the "Hub" aims to involve passing students in a new participatory art event each day of Art Week. We provide the space and materials, along with volunteers to help with the making process.
You provide the inspiration and the idea, the planning and organisation (assisted by us) and come along to work with students on the day.
The Mural
What we need is an artist that can work with us to create a mural for our wonderful student support centre. The artist needs to be able to submit a design for the space (see pic and dimensions) with a non colour specific palette.
