Call for proposals
Papakura Art Gallery is seeking proposals from established and emerging artists, and curators for its 2011 to 2012 programme.
The Gallery’s objective is to provide a balanced programme of quality exhibitions, projects and programmes that will expose the community to outstanding arts and artists, and engage and enrich local culture. The Auckland Council, within the Arts and Culture South framework, administers the gallery. The building has recently been extensively developed to professional standards and it can accommodate all art forms.
The programmes committee will consider all exhibition proposals. We would also like to receive project proposals that connect into community themes and/or use local histories and stories as a conceptual platform. Artists and curators who do not have sufficient work to fill a gallery space will be considered for group shows or projects.
